The weekend is upon us, and I couldn’t be any happier. Taste of Atlanta 2014 is here, and Corey and I are going to make a staycation out of it and enjoy the festivities in the city.
Don’t fret; if you don’t have plans to attend just yet, it’s not too late to jump on the bandwagon. The festival begins tonight with the Culinary Matrimony, a kick-off party where chefs will pair unlikely ingredients together to create unique dishes. Doors for general admission (VIP is already sold out!) open at 7:30 p.m. and with live music and drink pairings, this should be a kick-ass time.
The full festival starts at 12 p.m. on Saturday! Restaurants across the city will showcase their food in small bites that you can purchase with tickets. Chefs will perform cooking demonstrations of food you actually want to make at home at The Kitchen Workshop. Learn tricks of the trade you can use in the kitchen at The Chef’s Table. And, taste and vote for the best dishes in a full-on food competition (without the fight!) at the Throwdown Tent where chefs will battle for bragging rights in a food “face-off.” And, there’s lots of other stuff going on including a Silent Auction, a Family Food Zone and other activities that you cannot miss on both days.
Convinced? Buy your tickets in advance for a discount! If you see Corey or me this weekend, say hey!
Thanks, Brave PR, for the Culinary Matrimony image!
