Ciroc Summer Lunch at Sweet Auburn Seafood

This summer has felt like the biggest roller coaster ride. Though typical summers of the past have been about relaxation, exploration and renewal, these past couple of months for me have felt like a never-ending hike up Stone Mountain at 12 p.m. on an August day. I’ve felt a bit more burned out than usual and am itching for respite (beach vacation, anyone?).

Recently, I’ve been seeking more balance and clarity. I find that I do that best when I hang with my friends and family. Whether it’s attending a girls’ night out at our favorite Korean BBQ place, grabbing Jeni’s Ice Cream with my dad and browsing floor stores, planning a date night with Corey or simply hanging on the couch with my sister, I get my solace and peace from spending time with people I care about.

I was able to capture these same feelings at the Ciroc Summer Lunch at Sweet Auburn Seafood a couple of weeks ago. Hosted by my friend Erica of Eating with Erica and Ashley The Brand, the intimate event was filled with sipworthy Ciroc cocktails, delicious courses and my favorite foodie friends. I left recharged, refreshed and full!

We broke the ice with a round of introductions while sipping on Ciroc lemonade.

We deliberated over the happy hour scene in Atlanta while we drank the Ciroc Breeze and noshed on curated selections from Chef Sammy Davis like this citrus-y crab stuffed lemon head with chardonnay cream sauce.

We snuck in tons of pictures while enjoying a petite filet mignon that had been marinating in a demi glace sauce for 48 hours.

We wished Jessica well wishes for her move back to Boston while we sipped on the Peach Old Fashioned, a cocktail with Ciroc Peach, raspberry puree and ginger beer, and enjoyed a mini seafood burger with Tiger sauce and veggies.

We made new friends while ending the lunch on a high note: a sea salt caramel cheesecake shooter with the Peach Dream Crème cocktail.

I left the lunch full of food and energy. There’s nothing like a refreshing lunch with great drinks, food and friends. It made driving home in the rain and packing my life away that night much easier.

I’ve included some of the recipes below as they are great drinks for a relaxing evening at home or for entertaining guests during a summer shindig. I can’t wait to use these recipes to recreate my experience and get some relaxation in at the same time!

Ciroc Breeze
1oz Ciroc Peach
1oz Ciroc Pineapple
fresh lemon
sour mix
top with a splash of grapefruit juice

Peach Old Fashioned
1.5oz Ciroc Peach
.5oz raspberry
muddled orange and raspberry puree
top with a splash of ginger beer

Peach Dream Creme
1oz Ciroc Peach
1oz van gogh caramel vodka
1oz half and half
